Josh Aerie lives in Indiana and is Music Director of the Columbus Symphony Orchestra and Executive Director of The Music Village, a musical arts center and school in South Bend. Suzanne Bona lives in Connecticut and is best known as the host of Sunday Baroque, a syndicated program on NPR. Greg Kostraba has served in public radio for decades and is currently the Broadcast Producer Manager at KBACH in Phoenix. All three have made an extensive number of recordings on their instruments. For more information about The Sylvan Trio, visit their website

Joining The Sylvan Trio will be friends from Saint Tikhon's Monastery. Fr Caleb will graduate St Tikhon's Seminary this Memorial Day. His wife, Tabitha Lewis, also holds a doctorate from the Jacobs School of Music in vocal performance and has performed with the Clarion Choir, Conspirare, and the Philadelphia Chorale. Priest Mikel Hill holds degrees in music from Bowling Green University and Saint Tikhon's Seminary. He is the managing editor of Saint Tikhon's Monastery Press and has performed on several Grammy-nominated recordings with The Saint Tikhon Choir and the PaTRAM ensemble. Tynan Davis hails from New York City. She has toured with Wynton Marsalis and the Jazz at Lincoln Center Orchestra as well as The Phantom of the Opera. Tynan has sung with the Saint Tikhon Choir since 2015.

About the program:

The evening will begin with Rachmaninoff—not an epic piano concerto or his monumental All-Night Vigil, but something intimate: his Vocalise, arranged by Greg Kostraba for Piano, Cello, and Flute. Following will be a handful of selections by women composers from the Sylvan Trio's recent album. Soloist will join the trio for Through the Year. This set of seven pieces was composed especially for this concert and paints various scenes throughout the year from Saint Tikhon's Monastery adopting classic poetry from Herrick, Tennyson, and Burns, together with new poetry. We begin with February, progress through May and the burst of spring, wander along the lush paths of deep summer, coming to the bleakness and sense of loss that comes with autumn and November, and conclude with the hope that the eternal spring of Heaven holds for those who hope in Christ's Resurrection.

Running time is approximately 50 minutes
